How to judge a good directory?
Not all directories are bad. Still there are good web directories that are good to google and some other major search engines. These directories still are a very good resource for webmasters. They should not spare them and should take the value they can pass to.
Quality of good directories:
Existing links must be highly quality sites and relevantly organized.Check what they link to. If there exist thousands of links that seem to be spammy . The directory is more likely to be penalized than if the site links to informative, quality sites
